Weekend update:

Bought a car. This car. It is cute and spectacular and has heated seats. Yes, you heard me. One minute into my drive, the car is still cold but my rear end is nice and toasty. Amazing.

I'm still kind of iffy...the pickup isn't as good as I thought it would be and it handles a little slow. I have five days to return it (!) if I so desire, so I'll drive it another day or two and see if I change my mind. But so far it's the first one out of three car shopping trips that I've even been excited about, so I went for it. I really can't afford to keep pushing my poor broken POS that has served me so well for 8 years and 100,000 miles.

But it is cute. The dash display is nice, and it has a great amount of roominess for the gas mileage it gets.

And it does, after all, have heated seats.

Sweet! Heated seats are awesome - I don't have them in my car, but my moms' car does. It is truly a beautiful thing in cold Ottawa winters. I'm kind of disappointed that the pickup on your new car isn't that great - I've been looking at a bunch of cars right b/c we have to replace my buick (beast) and that was one I was looking at as well.
