Last semester, one of my film profs put that on a list from which we had to choose one to write an essay about the use of colour in cinema - I chose Pan's Labyrinth. 3 days before the essay was due I changed it to Rear Window because I just couldn't get over the visuals (and couldn't find info about its colour anyways). I was fascinated and horrified all at the same time - and Sergi Lopez does evil well (he was Captain Vidal). But yeah...the beginning where he kills the old mans' son was horrific...and the white creature thing....oh man... I walked into that movie knowing it wasn't a plucky little fantasy movie, I knew it was dark but I never expected it to have such a visceral affect on me.
